Whats Changing or New for Next Year?
« on: December 28, 2016, 06:45:26 PM »
I see other tracks asking the racers what they are looking for next season to make (fill in the track name) their "home" track or their "favorite" track. What is changing for next year? What is new for next year? Are any West TN tracks closing or opening back up next year to influence your decision?

Haven't heard much of anything Tim. Heard Dyersburg may not run next year, don't know about Gleason, U.S. 43 @ Lawerenceburg if it runs will be under new management as Andy Hunt posted on Facebook that he was not going to run it next year. Holly Springs will be under new management as Jabbo went to Memphis. Thats about all i've heard thats floating around.

Thanks for the update about the other tracks. What improvements or changes are going to be happening at Jackson Dragway next year?

Haven't talked to Scott about plans for 2017, but I'll post up something just as soon as I hear What he has in mind.

From the Jackson Racers Facebook page, looks like they are going to run a points system this year, 2 times a month starting in March.
Cash Days race in April.
Open Outlaws are at the track again this year
Southern Pro-Mods will be making their debut this year.
The Big Choo race will be held again.
Also this year marks 50 years that Jackson Dragway has been racing.
When I find out more I'll post it up.
Haven't heard when opening day is planned yet.
