Speedy's Newport Raceway is located on Comet Dr.  Newport, AR  72112

It is a 660' full bracket track, with an occasional index race thrown in.

MOST all bracket rule apply.  There is a Super Pro Class (electronics allowed) $30 entry, buy backs $10 in first two rounds, A Pro class or NO E, $20 entry buy backs $10 first two rounds, a Street class, Motorcycles, and Jr. Dragsters classes.  I need to entry and buy backs for the other classes

Some particulars is, the current tree does not have cross talk, so you have to go off the other person's light if you are the faster car and running a delay box.

Just two staging lanes are used and you line up in the right or left hand lane depending on which lane you want to run.

Time slips are given at the tower, so it is better if you have someone with you to pick them up.

The car number and dial in needs to be on the passenger side window so the tower can see it.

Here is the google map to it.

Ok guys and gals, what do I need to add or take away?

Can anyone tell me the schedule for Newport drag way?  I seen posts that the track is open on Friday nights for TNT.  What time does gates open?  Are you open on Sat and Sundays?  What kind of safety equi[ment do you need to run the cars?  Thanks for any info.  From your pictures it looks like alot of really nice cars run at your track.  We are looking forward to comming out on the next night you are open.

Rising68, first welcome to the board, if you missed it there is a welcome for you at the top of the board.

Where are you from and what do you race?

I will try to answer some of your questions and maybe some of the regulars can correct me.

Newport races every Sunday and I think time trials start at noon.

As long as your car appears safe and you can drive it well then there is no tech, most of the tracks in the area don't tech cars.

I hope you make it out soon, lots of good folks at this track and all the tracks in the Midsouth.   :D

Sorry about that.  I have a 68 Camaro with a sbc 177 weiand blower street car.  I ran it at two-lane for the past two years (it was close to where I live) anyway im trying to find a new track to go to.  I drove up there last weekend but it was closed.  I will defently be up there this week end.  Im looking forward to seeing some of your cars.  Thanks for the info

I think it was posted on here that they were closed due to storm damage.

Now you know you can check on here to make sure they're running.

We're blessed in this area to have several tracks around here to race at.

Your car sounds cool, you will have to post up some pictures in the your car picture section.  :D
