liquid whats it gonna take ?
« on: August 25, 2011, 05:39:56 PM »
Sold my other projects, bought another  s-10, i want to break into the  6's this time. I want to do this with a 358 on pump gas and no power adders .  I know Liquid had his little truck running 7.20s till he broke a gear. My 85 ran a best of 7.32 , now that i am putting this one to gether , i would like to get it into the 6s ,  any sugestions are welcome. I know this is the wrong section but dyersburg is my home track and i know liquid will be looking .    lol

My gear was 4.56, but it had a 29.5 tire. was faster with that tire than a 28. I had 10.5-1 comp. Ran junk gas. Had a 3600 converter in it.

That victor jr. is about the best intake you can run at the power range you have. I ran one for years andran 6.80s and 90s with it. Next step would be a super victor.

I would want the solid cam, and 64cc heads. 58s might be pushing it on comp for pump gas..... but should be streetable easy. Mine was, and was pretty similar.
