if it is a 305 you have to be careful on the valve size, 1.94 and 1.60 gets real close to hitting the cylinder walls of the small bore but works well. do you know what gear you have now?

The block is a 86 block ran the numbers when I rebuilt it. But as for the heads not sure I will post up the numbers tomorrow.  I got a holley allky carb of my brother would I spend alot of money to swap and would it be worth it? Also I have a set of MT ET Streets with tubes guy I bought them from ran screws in the rims will I need to do that, I'm not making alot of power like he was. The gears are stock guessing 373s when I got the car it was like some one slammed the rim into something anyway tire didnt run straight pulled cover broken chunks in it, got a used one from a junkyard.  Thanks for the input.

When your running tubes, it's always advisable to put screws in your rims, both front and back of the rim. It keeps the tire from spinning on the rim and cutting down a tube.

i always put baby powder in my tires cause it keeps the tubes from sticking to the tires when they get hot.

The numbers on the heads are 3973370.  Both have the same numbers.

forgot to ask what camshaft your running but a 3000 stall and a mini spool with those et streets will really wake it up, 9.0 to high 8s sure is nice to see peoples face when they ask what engine you running and you say 305.

Im not sure on cam size I should know but don't. The 305 is ok its 60 over not sure why someone would bore a 305 60 over but they did. As soon as my money is right which don't look to be any time soon I will build my 350 which is 40 over. Lots of people dont like the 305 but its been pretty good. Found four 400 small blocks for 300 a piece would like to get one soon. Will see what happens.

What tranny is in his car? Is it the one running 9.0s and under. I ran a 10.18 with street tires and tpi system, switched to carb seem to like it alot better. What else have you guys done to it to make it run 9s engine wise? Thanks

Put the other adult in your house behind the wheel. She says she can out drive you any day. :-)
